Durban’s Super Giants enhance sponsorship portfolio with LootMogul

Following the deal, LootMogul has been named the official cricket metaverse gaming partner of Durban's Super Giants.

The SA20 team, Durban’s Super Giants, have partnered with the sports metaverse platform, LootMogul.

Following the deal, LootMogul has been named the official cricket metaverse gaming partner of the Durban-based team.

The unit through its social media networks confirmed the contract with the caption, “Making a Super Giant entry into the cricket metaverse with @lootmogul 🤝💙”.

Before this deal, the unit signed commercial alliances with brands such as Airlink and BKT Tires.

Using blockchain games, meta shops for brands and players, virtual residences and training centres, and other technologies, LootMogul is an athlete-led sports metaverse web3 platform that offers in-real-life (IRL) prizes. The firm wants to give people the power to acquire and own digital goods that may be found in or taken out of any game. In 2020, Raj Rajkotia and Kuntal Sampat founded LootMogul.

Durban’s Super Giants will be facing off against MI Cape Town in Durban on Thursday, January 11.
