Copa America 2024: Sponsors Watch

Aside from the intense competition at the Copa America 2024, a list of renowned sponsors contributes to the event's magnificence.

The 48th edition of the CONMEBOL Copa America has begun in the United States, with the typical contenders for the title being Argentina, Venezuela, Columbia, and Uruguay. However, owing to their current performances, the likes of the USA and Chile also have the potential to capture the championship. Meanwhile, Bolivia, Canada, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Panama, Paraguay, and Peru all hope to make an unexpected impression.

The elite men’s quadrennial football competition played by South American national teams also had a few upsets, with Panama defeating the United States 2-1 and Costa Rica drawing with Brazil.

Since the competition’s inception in 1916, eight of the ten CONMEBOL national teams have emerged victorious from its 47 iterations; the only teams still without the trophy are Ecuador and Venezuela. With 15 cups apiece, Argentina and Uruguay have won the most titles in the history of the competition.

Moreover, having hosted the event in 2016 and now in 2024, the United States became the first non-CONMEBOL nation to do so. Notably, three times (in 1975, 1979, and 1983), different South American nations hosted the competition.

Aside from the intense competition, a list of renowned sponsors contributes to the event’s magnificence. The 2024 edition of this popular competition aims to write another chapter in its legendary history.
