CONMEBOL adds BYD to its sponsorship portfolio for Copa America 2024

Notably, BYD will be present at two significant international competitions, as it is also a sponsor of the UEFA EURO 2024.

The governing body of football in South America, CONMEBOL has announced BYD, the transportation solutions firm, as the new sponsor for the upcoming Copa America 2024.

The agreement was reached with CONMEBOL, the governing body of South American football, ahead of the event in the United States, which stretches from June 20 to July 14.

BYD is the automobile subsidiary of BYD Company, a publicly traded Chinese global manufacturing firm. It produces passenger battery electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, also known as new energy vehicles in China.

Notably, BYD will be present at two significant international competitions, as it is also a sponsor of the UEFA EURO 2024, which will take place in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024.

The 48th iteration of the 16-team Copa America will be coming to the United States for the first time since 2016, when the championship set a new attendance record of approximately 1.5 million fans.

CONMEBOL has revealed many commercial partners for Copa America in recent weeks, such as Absolut Sport, Unilever, and Betano.

Additional sponsors of the contest include Mastercard, Michelob Ultra, Puma, and Lowe’s.
