Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan becomes Bengaluru team owner in ISPL 

The involvement of Hrithik Roshan is likely to generate interest in ISPL among fans of all ages, both nationally and particularly in Bengaluru.

The Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) has announced the Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan as the owner of the Bengaluru team.

Recently, the league also declared Akshay Kumar as the owner of the Srinagar franchise.

The ISPL is set to take place from March 2 to March 9, 2024, and will be the country’s first tennis ball T10 cricket event. There will be 19 intense matches in the first edition, which is scheduled to take place in Mumbai. The six competitive teams participating are Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir).

Owner of the Bengaluru team and Founder of HRX, Hrithik Roshan, said, “The Indian Street Premier League is a promising avenue to unearth exceptional talent. The ISPL was introduced in November by Ravi Shastri, the Chief Mentor of the league and former head coach of Team India, together with Ashish Shelar, Amol Kale, and League Commissioner Suraj Samat.

Ashish Shelar, Core Committee Member, Indian Street Premier League, said, “Hrithik Roshan joining the ISPL is a significant milestone for us. His charisma and passion for the game will undoubtedly enhance the league’s appeal and inspire cricketers across the country.”

The league does not have an age restriction on participation. However, the playing XI must always have a minimum of one player from the U-19 age group.
