BCCI introduces ITT for media rights of its international and domestic matches

The "Invitation to Tender" ("ITT") will be made accessible by the BCCI upon the receipt of payment of a non-refundable fee of INR 15,00,000 along with any applicable GST.

The Indian apex cricket governing entity, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released a new Invitation to Tender (ITT) for media rights of the BCCI international and domestic matches. For such agreements, the BCCI is seeking proposals from reputable organizations.

The “Invitation to Tender” (“ITT”), which will be made accessible upon receipt of payment of a non-refundable fee of INR 15,00,000 along with any applicable GST, contains the specific terms and conditions governing the tender process, which includes eligibility requirements, the procedure for submitting bids, rights and obligations, etc.

Annexure A, which includes the procedure to obtain the ITT documents, will have to be followed by firms in order to send a non-refundable fee. Up to August 25, 2023, the ITT will be for sale.

According to the steps outlined in Annexure A, interested parties are urged to email bccimediarights2023@bcci.tv with the payment information they used to purchase the ITT. It is also made abundantly clear by BCCI that ITT documents can only be released when payment of the non-refundable ITT fee has been confirmed.

The ITT must be purchased by any interested authority to submit a bid. Only those who meet the eligibility requirements outlined in ITT, subject to the other terms and conditions outlined therein, shall, nevertheless, be eligible to submit a bid. Furthermore, it has also been clear that merely acquiring the ITT does not grant someone the right to place a bid.
