Bayern Munich renew association with Allianz for 10 years

Since 2000, the insurance firm has supported Bayern Munich, most notably as the naming rights sponsor of the Allianz Arena.

The Bundesliga club, FC Bayern Munich have extended a partnership with the Munich-based insurance company, Allianz.

Since 2000, the insurance firm has supported the German record champions, most notably as the naming rights sponsor of the Allianz Arena and the jersey sponsor of the women’s team.

Since its inception in 2005, the Allianz corporation has embellished the distinctive, world-famous facade of the German record champions’ stadium. Furthermore, since 2013, the association has been the shirt sponsor of the women’s team and the official partner of the Women’s Tour.

Furthermore, Allianz will continue to collaborate with FC Bayern in the future to promote young footballers through the Allianz Junior Football Camps at Säbener Straße and the FC Bayern Campus. Every summer, the Reds’ first team squad is also presented at the Arena during the Allianz FC Bayern Team Presentation.

Allianz is planning to introduce the first individual and free financial coaching course for aspirational female athletes aged 18 to 22 for the 2023/2024 season in hopes of honing the economic skills of young professional female athletes. Coaching appointments can be scheduled online at allianz.com. The FC Bayern women’s team, among others, will gain an advantage from the recommendation, with guaranteed access to an individual financial coach.

Commenting on the partnership, Oliver Kahn, FC Bayern, CEO, “FC Bayern places great value on reliable, continual partnerships. We’re therefore very happy to continue our cooperation with Allianz. We can look back on a joint success story of over 20 years, to which we want to add more chapters with new and innovative ideas.”

Andreas Jung, FC Bayern Board Member for Marketing, commented, “Allianz is a Munich company that operates globally, and that people around the world associate with the FC Bayern stadium. In the future we will press ahead with the expansion of the partnership with our women’s team and implement projects in youth development, among other things.”

Christian Deuringer, Head of Global Brand & Marketing at Allianz SE, said, “FC Bayern and Allianz have enjoyed a successful and trustful partnership for over 20 years, which has grown from the naming of the Allianz Arena to the men’s, women’s and youth teams and increasingly into the digital and social media spheres. Thanks to FC Bayern’s huge reach and inspiring content, we reach many millions of fans around the world.”
