Wigan Athletic and Wigan Warriors have announced a sponsorship association with an innovative ticketing provider, Ticketmaster Sport.
The brand will serve as the official ticketing provider for both clubs.
Leading the way in live entertainment and sports worldwide, Ticketmaster will offer a dependable and trustworthy platform for the fans, who will benefit from a flawless customer journey, a quick and easy online experience, and complete control over how their tickets are handled.
In order to drastically minimise the need to stand in line on matchdays, there will be an emphasis on ticket fulfilment through digital means, such as print-at-home options or digital tickets.
Supporters will have the chance to register for a free account with each club, which will facilitate simple ticket purchases for both home and away games.
A prototype version of Ticketmaster will be in use for the Latics’ forthcoming home games against Reading FC, Wycombe Wanderers, and Stevenage until the permanent platform is fully implemented in February.
As part of the move to Ticketmaster, all #BELIEVE FansFund subscriptions have been dismissed, and the new Fans Fund scheme will be announced in the coming weeks after consultation with the club’s fan groups.
