Max Sport lands broadcast rights of FIFA Club World Cup in Bulgaria

Through this arrangement, Max Sport will be providing coverage of every encounter of FIFA Club World Cup in Bulgaria. 

The Bulgarian pay-television broadcaster, Max Sport has acquired rights to the FIFA Club World Cup, which is being played in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Through this arrangement, the Bulgarian broadcaster will be providing coverage of every encounter of the premier global club tournament in Bulgaria. 

The tournament will conclude with a final on December 22. Other teams competing include Fluminese from the Copa Libertadores, Urawa Red Diamonds from the AFC Champions League, Al-Ahly from the CAF Champions League, Club Leon from the CONCACAF Champions League, and Manchester City from the English Premier League (PL), who are representing Europe after winning the UEFA Champions League the previous year.

The rights add to Max Sport’s vast football portfolio, which already includes the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana, LALIGA, the Dutch Eredivisie, the Turkish Cup, the Major League Soccer (MLS) in North America, the UEFA Champions League, the Conference League, and the Coupe de France knockout competition.

Owned by A1 Bulgaria, Max Sport (formerly known as “Mtel Sport”) is a collection of premium television channels in Bulgaria. The group’s first channel, Max Sport 1, debuted on January 14, 2017, and its second, Max Sport 2, debuted on March 1, 2017.
