Infront to manage international broadcast rights for Ligue 1 and Ligue 2

This five-year agreement has granted Infront exclusive authority to helm broadcast rights of Ligue 1 and 2 across certain territories in Europe, Asia, and Oceania.

Infront, a leading sports marketing company, has partnered with Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) Media, the commercial arm of France’s professional football leagues.

This five-year agreement, starting in the 2024/25 season, has granted Infront exclusive authority to helm broadcast rights of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 matches across certain territories in Europe, Asia, and Oceania.

The deal encompasses all Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 BKT matches (306 per season each), promotion/relegation play-offs, and the Trophee des Champions season opener. LFP Media will handle match production, feed distribution, and create innovative content (including magazines) to keep viewers engaged even beyond game days.

Amikam Kranz, Senior Vice President of Media, Betting & Technology, Infront, said, “These new deals are the latest step in our developing partnership with LFP Media and allows them to fully leverage Infront’s expertise across media and technology. Our comprehensive network and offering aims to enhance the league’s international presence and fan engagement, showcasing the synergy between our technology capabilities and commercial rights experience.”

Martin Aurenche, LFP Media, Chief Media Officer, said, “Aligning and increasing our cooperation with Infront allows us to amplify the global footprint of French football, bringing the excitement and passion of French football to new audiences. Their approach will no doubt elevate our international presence as well as the viewing experience, reinforcing the league’s standing in the international sports landscape.”

This partnership expands on an existing collaboration. In September 2023, Infront secured a five-year deal for Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 betting rights.

Founded in 2002, the Swiss-based sports specialist is a major force in sports marketing. The agency represents over 200 sports rights holders, including football leagues and clubs, winter sports organisations, and even world championship events. Infront acts as a bridge, connecting these entities with sponsors and broadcasters, fostering a powerful network within the sports world.
