India’s pickleball landscape gets a boost; AIPA and KheloMore partner for growth

KheloMore Sports, a leading digital platform for recreational and semi-professional athletes, has announced a strategic partnership with the All India Pickleball Association (AIPA), the national governing body for the sport.

This landmark collaboration brings a ₹50 million investment to construct 100 state-of-the-art pickleball courts across the country over the next two years. The focus lies on tier 2 and tier 3 cities, signifying a major commitment to developing pickleball at the grassroots level.

AIPA President, Arvind Prabhoo, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting its potential to create a significant impact, “The collaboration with KheloMore is a significant milestone for grassroots development of pickleball in tier 2 and tier 3 cities in India. With this substantial investment, we aim to build world-class facilities and nurture a vibrant community of pickleball players across the nation. This partnership will help us achieve one of our long term goals of having 10 million plus active players within 5 years.”

Adding further Ex – India Cricketer, Jatin Paranjape who is the founder of KheloMore app, said, “We are excited to collaborate with AIPA to make pickleball more accessible and popular across India. AIPA is to pickleball what BCCI is for Indian cricket, we are sure this partnership will help develop the game on a very large scale in India. This investment aligns with our vision of promoting a healthy and active lifestyle through sports.”

KheloMore’s involvement goes beyond just funding. Its advanced digital platform will offer a user-friendly online booking system, real-time court availability updates, and a robust online community network for pickleball enthusiasts. This integration aims to streamline participation and enhance player engagement across India.

This partnership isn’t KheloMore’s first foray into sports development. Earlier this year, the platform collaborated with Cricket Victoria to launch the Melbourne Cricket Academy (MCA) in India. The company is a one-stop shop for sports enthusiasts, offering venue booking, coaching connections, and event participation opportunities across various recreational and competitive sports.

Recently, The All India Pickleball Association announced its partnership with Skechers, a global leader in performance footwear and apparel.

The All India Pickleball Association, established in 2008, is the national governing body for the sport in India. AIPA organizes tournaments, conducts coaching camps, and advocates for pickleball recognition by the Indian government.
