Three partners with Chelsea Women as first-ever women’s-only principal partner

This strategic alliance, which includes sponsorship of Chelsea Women's training kit, marks a pivotal moment for both Three and the broader landscape of women's football.

Three, the UK’s fastest 5G network, has made a significant stride in supporting women’s sports by becoming the first-ever women’s-only principal partner of Chelsea Women.

This strategic alliance, which includes sponsorship of the team’s training kit, marks a pivotal moment for both brands and the broader landscape of women’s football.

As the exclusive principal partner dedicated to Chelsea Women, UK’s leading 5G network aims to elevate the team’s profile and contribute to its continued growth.

Commenting on the association, Casper Stylsvig, Chief Revenue Officer for Chelsea Football Club, said, “We are thrilled to announce the renewal of our partnership with Three. Since we began working together in 2020, they have been a steadfast supporter of the club and created really impactful campaigns, like the Talk More Than Football mental health initiative.

“After an incredible end to the 2023/24 season and a seventh WSL title, along with the redefined resources and team in place to help the squad grow on and off the pitch, it’s the perfect time to reimagine the positioning of the partnership with a greater focus on our hugely successful women’s team.

“Three have consistently delivered best-in-class initiatives in the women’s football community, and their new role as a principal partner of the team is a perfect illustration of our joint passion for the game and ambition to be innovative.”

Elaine Carey, Three UK and Ireland’s Chief Commercial Officer, added, “At Three, we are proud to shine a light on female talent, both on and off the pitch, which is why the partnership with Chelsea Women is the perfect fit. Following an incredible number of years building the WeSeeYou Network, we’re excited to continue supporting, celebrating, and connecting women in sport, to help them reach their full potential.”

Three’s investment in women’s football demonstrates its broader commitment to gender equality and inspiring the next generation of female athletes.

The partnership builds on the UK’s top 5G network’s existing role as the official telecommunications partner of the West London club. The company’s branding will now prominently feature on the reigning Women’s Super League (WSL) champions’ playing and training kit as they prepare for major tournaments. In addition to this partnership, Chelsea Women have bolstered their squad with the signing of Spanish midfielder Julia Bartel and extended contracts for defender Cerys Brown and star striker Sam Kerr.

Launched in 2003, Three has established itself as a leading mobile network operator in the UK, renowned for its investment in 5G network infrastructure. Consistently ranked as one of the fastest 5G networks, Three offers high-speed connectivity and expanded coverage across the country.
