San Jose Sharks pen down a renewal with SAP

As per the extension, both parties will work out creating the Sharks Innovation Challenge Series, which includes third parties competing to develop solutions for the business.

The National Hockey League (NHL) team, San Jose Sharks have signed a partnership extension with the German multinational software company, SAP.

The agreement has been renewed for five years, till 2028. The naming rights to the SAP Center in San Jose will also be extended as part of the collaboration.

As per the extension, both parties will work out creating the Sharks Innovation Challenge Series, which includes third parties competing to develop solutions for the business. The German entity will also become presenting sponsor of the Sharks DI&B partnership program, which will allow the local bay area businesses to become Sharks partners at reduced or no costs. 

The German software brand will still be there to serve as the Sharks’ away games helmet decal partner. With the support of the extension, SAP remains a member of the Teal Inner Circle, which will help the brand get access and awareness by leveraging the Sharks’ unique and greatest storytelling powers.

SAP is a German multinational software brand, based in Walldorf, Germany which develops enterprise software to handle business operations and customer relations, and it is the world’s leading enterprise resource planning software vendor. The company was founded in 1972, and it also sells ERP software, database software and technology, and cloud-engineered systems. 

The Teal will be facing off Flames in their next encounter on Thursday, April 13.
