Chelsea strengthen FICO alliance ahead of pre-season visit to United States

FICO returns as Chelsea men's official partner for the second straight pre-season in the United States.

The Premier League (PL) team, Chelsea FC have strengthened their partnership with the leading U.S. software analytics, solutions, and services firm, FICO, ahead of their pre-season tour in the United States.

The industry-leading company returns as the men’s team’s official partner for the second straight pre-season in the United States. Moreover, for the first time, the new association welcomes an additional collaboration with the women’s team as it travels the East Coast of the United States later in the summer.

As a part of FICO’s Fields of Financial Empowerment tour, the squads visit seven cities. As part of this ongoing collaboration, the US Soccer Foundation and Score A Better Future (SABF) Fundamentals financial education workshops are offered to students in each city at no cost.

Additionally, during a few of the tour’s cities, individuals over 18 will have the chance to take part in Score A Better Future workshops. Workshop attendees will receive a complimentary ticket to their local game to see the teams play.

Casper Stylsvig, Chief Revenue Officer, Chelsea FC, said, “We are delighted to be extending our partnership with FICO as we make the final preparations for our pre-season tour in the U.S. It’s important to us to engage deeply with the communities we’re fortunate to visit in the States, beyond the excitement delivered on the pitch, so to have the opportunity to continue the work we started last summer is a very positive step. We’re excited to be working with such a prestigious and renowned organisation again, through whom we will continue to deliver incredibly valuable sessions and resources to help educate fans across the U.S. on the importance of financial literacy.

“By also including our women’s team in the partnership, we will be able to inspire even more people to access the resources FICO makes available to help them achieve their financial goals.”

FICO’s Executive Vice President, Nikhil Behl, said, “This is an incredibly exciting time for fans, especially with the growing popularity for women’s sports and soccer in the United States. Through the Fields of Financial Empowerment tour, we are broadening access to financial education through our workshops and resources, providing a key building block for people to achieve their financial goals. As FICO continues to innovate and drive financial empowerment, we are evolving our program to reach and inspire more people to take control of their financial futures.

The FICO Score was developed by FICO about 35 years ago as a common indicator of consumer credit risk in the US. Notably, 90% of American lenders now utilise the FICO Score to assist issue credit for credit cards, mortgages, auto loans, personal loans, and other purposes.

Apart from conducting live courses on SABF Fundamentals, FICO offers tools aimed at empowering individuals to improve their financial literacy, comprehend credit, and make informed decisions. This includes resources and materials for credit education, on-demand courses, and the myFICO website and app, which let users check and track their FICO Score for free.
