Pinkathon, India’s largest women’s run, founded by fitness icon Milind Soman, has entered into a landmark partnership with Zydus Lifesciences to drive nationwide awareness on breast cancer.

The collaboration will commence with the 10th edition of the Mumbai Pinkathon on December 21, 2025, at the MMRDA Grounds in Bandra Kurla Complex, officially kicking off the 2025–26 season.

As title partner, Zydus will lead the “Easiest Exam” campaign, a nationwide initiative highlighting the importance of early detection through a simple three-minute self-breast examination. With more than 200,000 new breast cancer cases reported annually in India and late diagnosis remaining a critical challenge, the campaign aims to dispel myths, encourage routine self-checks, and reinforce that early detection saves lives.

Beyond the run itself, the partnership will extend into survivor engagement programmes, awareness workshops, podcasts, and dialogues with oncologists, creating a multi-channel movement that reaches women across diverse communities.

Commenting on the occasion, Pinkathon Founder Milind Soman said, “At Pinkathon, our mission has always been to inspire every woman to take charge of her health and fitness while building a community of strength and inclusivity. With Zydus joining as Title Partner, we are amplifying this mission and urging women from all walks of life to make health a priority, integrating at least one physical activity into their daily lives, starting with running. Together, we are not only raising awareness of breast cancer but also driving preventive care and early detection, creating a movement that can transform women’s health across India.”

Ankita Konwar, Founder, Invincible Women, added, “As Pinkathon marks its 10th edition in Mumbai, it’s a reminder of how powerful this movement has become in inspiring women to prioritise their health. With the third edition of Invincible Women also unfolding here, we want to show that true competition lies within—pushing past our own limits, embracing fitness, and caring for our wellbeing. It’s about proving to ourselves what we’re capable of and carrying that strength into every part of life.”

Dr Sharvil Patel, Managing Director, Zydus Lifesciences, continued, “With the Easiest Exam campaign, we seek to empower women with the knowledge that a simple 3-minute self-examination each month can make a life-saving difference. Joining hands with Pinkathon, we aim to reach many more women, raise awareness, and inspire collective action in the fight against breast cancer. We believe that raising awareness on women’s health and Breast cancer remains equally vital, as early detection has the power to save countless lives.”

The Mumbai edition will feature multiple race categories, including 3 km, 5 km, 10 km, ultra distances of 50 km, 75 km, and 100 km, along with a 100 km relay under the Invincible Women initiative. The 2025–26 season is expected to engage over 30,000 women across six host cities: Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Chennai.

By combining the platform of Pinkathon with Zydus’ healthcare expertise, the partnership is set to create one of India’s most impactful health awareness movements, uniting sport, community, and preventive care in the fight against breast cancer.
