Zee 24 Ghanta to air East Bengal FC’s ACL 2 preliminary fixture against Altyn Asyr

Fans of East Bengal FC can catch the match, which is set to be played tonight at 7 PM IST, on Zee 24 Ghanta and on its YouTube channel.

The Indian Super League (ISL) club, East Bengal FC have arranged a broadcast deal with Zee 24 Ghanta, for their AFC Champions League Two preliminary fixture against Altyn Asyr FC.

Fans of one of the biggest clubs in India can catch the match, which is set to be played tonight, August 14, at 7 PM IST, on the given network and on its YouTube channel.

The Red and Gold brigade, who return to the Asian stage after a nine-year absence, will look to win tonight in order to move to the AFC Champions League Two group stages.

The win at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata will see the Torch Bearers advance to the league’s group stage and face arch-rivals Mohun Bagan Super Giant (MBSG), amongst others. East Bengal and MBSG are the only Indian clubs to have qualified for the ACL 2 event.

East Bengal, boosted by the acquisitions of Dimitri Diamantakos and Madih Talal, will head into the game full of confidence. Recently, the unit also has displayed strong form in the Durand Cup 2024, winning 3-1 against Indian Air Force and Downtown Heroes. Nevertheless, this forthcoming match is EBFC’s most important task, as they hope to capitalise on their home advantage and extend their winning streak under coach Carles Cuadrat’s supervision.

Notably, Cuadrat has faced opponents from Turkmenistan before. While being the manager of Bengaluru FC, Sunil Chhetri and co. were defeated 5-2 on aggregate in the two-legged AFC Cup inter-zonal semifinals in 2018. Cuadrat, who is not one to seek vengeance, will now once again confront Altyn Asyr.
