A Hybrid learning-focused EdTech platform, BIG Academy, has entered the Indian test-preparation market with its launch in Hyderabad, announcing former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh as its brand ambassador.
The launch event, held in Hyderabad, was attended by senior government officials, education leaders, and members of the media. BIG Academy is positioning itself as a student-centric education platform that blends technology-driven instruction with structured mentorship, offline academic support, and performance analytics. Its initial focus is on high-stakes competitive examinations, including IIT JEE and NEET.
Founded to move beyond traditional rote-learning models, BIG Academy aims to address both academic performance and student well-being. The platform integrates digital lessons, assessments, personalised mentoring, and progress tracking, while also emphasising mental resilience and exam preparedness.
Speaking about the vision, Ramana Bhupathi, Founder & CEO of BIG Academy, said, “At BIG Academy- IIT, JEE/NEET, our goal is to move beyond rote learning and create a system that truly supports students academically and emotionally. By combining technology with human mentorship, we aim to build confident learners who are prepared not just for exams, but for long-term success.
“BIG Academy aims to address growing academic pressure by combining technology-enabled learning, expert faculty, and personalised academic mentorship. The platform integrates digital lessons, assessments, performance tracking, and offline academic guidance to deliver consistent learning outcomes. With its hybrid learning model and strong leadership vision, BIG Academy plans to expand its academic offerings and technology capabilities to support students across key learning segments.”
Yuvraj Singh’s association with the academy is expected to strengthen its brand positioning, with the former cricketer highlighting the importance of discipline, perseverance, and adaptability in achieving sustained success. BIG Academy believes these values closely align with its educational philosophy and the skills required to perform under academic pressure.
BIG Academy, a new hybrid learning edtech institution, has launched as part of the broader BIG TV News Network, a prominent Hyderabad-based digital and satellite news organisation. Unveiled by BIG TV Chairman Vijay Reddy and academy founder Ramana Bhupathi in January 2026, the venture emphasises a modern educational approach through its mobile application, Academia @ BIG Academy.
With Hyderabad continuing to grow as a major hub for education and technology, the launch of BIG Academy marks its entry into one of India’s most competitive coaching and EdTech markets. The company plans to gradually expand its academic offerings and technology capabilities, aiming to scale its hybrid learning model to support students across multiple learning segments.
The appointment of Yuvraj Singh as brand ambassador provides immediate national visibility for the platform, as BIG Academy looks to establish itself as a credible and differentiated alternative in India’s crowded test-preparation ecosystem.
