Yorkshire CCC announces Virtua as official metaverse partner

The collaboration has already commenced and fans will be able to witness the branding of Virtua around YCCC's home ground for domestic and international fixtures.

Virtua, the metaverse platform, has joined forces with the Yorkshire County Cricket Club for the rest of the ongoing season and beyond. In this association, Virtua has been appointed as the club’s official partner. 

The collaboration has already commenced and fans will be able to witness the branding of Virtua around YCCC’s home ground for domestic and international fixtures.

The two parties involved in this association will look forward to creating several NFT collections for fans, including money can’t buy experiences. 

Virtua was established in 2017, the entity is a gamified metaverse platform and is one of the leading NFT marketplaces. The firm teams up with various organizations to produce NFTs and also provides an opportunity for fans and brands to enter the metaverse.

Speaking on the association, Jawad Ashraf, Virtua CEO, said, “We’re excited to be partnering with Yorkshire County Cricket Club, discussions are already taking place around what could be our first NFT collection.

“Following Williams Racing, it’s another great partnership for us to explore activity that will transition into our soon-to-launch metaverse.”
