YES BANK has expanded its partnership with the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) after being appointed the official retail banking partner for Team India across four major international multi-sport events in 2026, strengthening its long-term commitment to Indian sport and the Olympic movement.
The renewed agreement will see the private sector lender support the Indian contingent at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, and the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games in Riyadh. The partnership builds on YES BANK’s previous association with Team India, having served as the official banking partner during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
As part of the collaboration, YES BANK will support Indian athletes competing across more than 100 sporting disciplines, including athletics, badminton, boxing, archery, weightlifting, judo and cricket. The agreement forms part of the bank’s broader strategy of leveraging sport to promote community engagement, national development and grassroots talent.
Speaking on this partnership, Vinay M. Tonse, Managing Director & CEO, Yes Bank, said, “We are proud to partner with the Indian Olympic Association in supporting Team India across four marquee international sporting events in 2026. Sport has the extraordinary power to inspire a nation, promote health and well-being, nurture talent at the grassroots, and build character through discipline, resilience and teamwork. These values resonate deeply with YES BANK’s commitment to empowering individuals, communities and businesses, while contributing to India’s nation-building journey. As Team India competes on the global stage, carrying the hopes and aspirations of millions, we are honoured to stand beside our athletes as they strive to bring pride to our nation.”
Dr P.T. Usha, President, Indian Olympic Association, said, “We are delighted to welcome YES BANK as a long-standing partner of the Indian Olympic Association and its continued commitment to growth and development of sports in the country. YES BANK will serve as the ‘Retail Banking Partner’ for Team India across four major sports events in 2026. With this partnership, we are proud to step up our commitment to sporting excellence by building on our previous partnership for the Paris 2024 Olympics. Such valuable partnerships play a key role in strengthening India’s sporting ecosystem and creating greater momentum behind our athletes as they prepare to represent the nation on the global stage. Together, we look forward to celebrating the achievements of our athletes, inspiring millions of Indians, and strengthening sports as a core pillar of development, fully aligned with the larger national vision of Viksit Bharat.”
The agreement further expands the commercial portfolio surrounding India’s Olympic ecosystem at a time when corporate investment in Olympic and multi-sport disciplines continues to rise. For YES BANK, the partnership offers year-round visibility across four flagship international events while reinforcing its brand positioning around national pride, sporting excellence and community development. Meanwhile, the IOA secures another strategic corporate partner as Team India prepares for one of its busiest international competition calendars in recent years.
