The agricultural enterprise, Xianfeng Fruit Company has been announced as the latest sponsor of the 2022 Asian Games, which will be held in the Chinese city of Hangzhou later this year.
Athletes at the pan-regional event will be supplied with fresh products by Xianfeng Fruit Company.
Xianfeng Fruit is a national fresh fruit retail chain brand with over a thousand locations throughout China. The company is one of 112 confirmed sponsors for the Asian Games in 2022. China Telecom, China Mobile, China Pacific Insurance, and Alibaba Group are among the top sponsors.
The event will also be sponsored by international brands such as Canon, Panasonic, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The 2022 Asian Games, also known as the XIX Asian Games, will be held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, from September 10 to September 25, 2022. After Beijing in 1990 and Guangzhou in 2010, Hangzhou will be the third Chinese city to host the Asian Games.
The multi-sport event will include 40 sports and 61 disciplines, including Olympic sports such as swimming, archery, athletics, badminton, equestrian, fencing, football, hockey, judo, kabaddi, and many others.
After being approved by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) this year, e-sports and breakdancing will make their debut as full medal sports at the 2022 Asian Games, while cricket will return in T20 format to pique the interest of viewers.
Fans in India can enjoy the event live on Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN). Sony Networks has secured the media rights to the event. Sony will broadcast the multi-sporting event on its sports channels throughout India and the subcontinent, including Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan, Bhutan, and the Maldives.
Except for the 1990 edition, India has won at least one gold medal at every Asian Games and has always finished in the top ten of the medal table. India has won 139 gold medals, 178 silver medals, and 299 bronze medals at the Asian Games so far, and will look to significantly increase the tally this year.
