The oldest club in Wales and the third-oldest professional association football team in the world, Wrexham AFC have inked a new multi-year partnership with Firefox, a free, open-source web browser developed by the Mozilla Foundation.

The new deal will see Firefox become the club’s official web browser partner and front-of-kit sponsor for the 2026-27 season. The alliance brings together two businesses recognised for breaking conventions and building passionate worldwide communities.

Wrexham AFC have built a distinct identity in modern football via honesty, ambition, and a strong bond with its fans. Firefox, which is backed by a non-profit, has spent more than two decades advocating for the idea that individuals should have control over how they interact with the internet. This includes privacy by default, meaningful user choice, transparent technology, and solutions that assist people traverse the internet without influencing them.

John Solomon, Chief Marketing Officer at Mozilla, said, “Partnering with Wrexham AFC is a natural fit. At their core, both Wrexham and Firefox are challenger brands that have built passionate global communities by doing work differently and staying true to who they are. Wrexham has created something incredibly special through authenticity, ambition, and a deep connection with its supporters. Firefox has approached the internet with that same philosophy – working to build it as it should be, with openness, community, and people at the center of it all. We’re excited about what’s ahead and what we can build together.”

Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds, Co-chairmen of Wrexham AFC, said, “We are thrilled to welcome Firefox as our new front-of-kit partner. We love an underdog story and both Wrexham and Firefox know the feeling of having to battle giants. It takes inventiveness, relentlessness and a pristine browsing history. So let’s effing go.”

Firefox will be the front-of-kit sponsor for Wrexham AFC’s men’s and women’s first-team uniforms in 2026-27, with its emblem appearing on home, away, and third shirts. The relationship will make its debut on the club’s new men’s away kit this weekend, when Wrexham travel to Kraków for their first pre-season game.

Firefox is also named Wrexham AFC’s official web browser partner, with a variety of content, product synergies, and fan-facing activations planned during the season.
