The Women’s Premier League (WPL) franchise, UP Warriorz, have announced a new commercial partnership with Pronto, strengthening the team’s sponsorship portfolio ahead of the upcoming WPL season.

The partnership was unveiled via the franchise’s official social media channels, welcoming Pronto into the “Warriorz family.” While financial terms, category rights, and activation plans have not been disclosed, the association places Pronto alongside UP Warriorz’s growing roster of lifestyle and consumer-facing partners, which already includes brands such as L’Oréal Professionnel and Joy Personal Care.

The timing of the announcement aligns with a broader shift in how brands are approaching women’s cricket. With the 2026 WPL season expected to offer expanded marketing inventory and heightened sponsor activation, franchises are increasingly positioning themselves as long-term platforms for brand storytelling rather than short-term visibility plays.

On the sporting front, UP Warriorz have significantly bolstered their squad ahead of the new campaign. Deepti Sharma was retained via the Right to Match at ₹3.2 crore, while the franchise secured Shikha Pandey for ₹2.40 crore and Meg Lanning for ₹1.90 crore. Phoebe Litchfield joined for ₹1.20 crore, with Asha Sobhana added at ₹1.10 crore. The squad is further strengthened by the presence of Pratika Rawal, Harleen Deol, Deandra Dottin, Chloe Tryon, Sophie Ecclestone and Kranti Gaud, reinforcing both experience and depth.

UP Warriorz will begin their WPL 2026 campaign against Gujarat Giants Women at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy on Saturday, January 10, with the match scheduled to start at 3.30 PM IST.

The Pronto partnership reflects UP Warriorz’s wider commercial strategy of building a diversified sponsor mix rooted in women’s sport, community engagement, and brand-led narratives. For now, the announcement remains limited to digital confirmation, with further details expected once a formal release or season-specific activation roadmap is rolled out.
