The Women’s Premier League (WPL) franchise, UP Warriorz, have strengthened both their commercial and sporting foundations ahead of the upcoming season, announcing a set of strategic partnerships spanning health, travel, and cultural identity.

The Lucknow-based franchise has onboarded Care Health Insurance as an official partner, with the association built around themes of confidence, protection, and holistic well-being.

UP Warriorz have also confirmed the continuation of their long-standing relationship with EaseMyTrip, which returns as principal partner for a fourth consecutive season. The renewal represents one of the most consistent commercial partnerships in the Women’s Premier League to date. Over multiple seasons, EaseMyTrip has played a key operational role in supporting the team’s travel and logistics across India, underlining sustained confidence in both the franchise and the broader WPL ecosystem.

In a move that deepens the franchise’s cultural positioning, UP Warriorz have unveiled a new partnership with Ekaya Banaras. The collaboration marks a fresh chapter in the team’s brand narrative, drawing inspiration from Ekaya’s crest, which symbolises the meeting of the sun and the flowing Ganga in Banaras. Building on this symbolism, the franchise has reimagined its visual identity with a Banaras bloom at its centre, introducing a floral design language that will shape the team’s aesthetic this season. The partnership is positioned as a celebration of heritage, identity, and fearless self-expression, blending regional craftsmanship with contemporary sport.

On the sporting front, UP Warriorz have significantly bolstered their squad ahead of the new campaign. Deepti Sharma was retained via the Right to Match, while the franchise secured Shikha Pandey. Meg Lanning has been named captain of the franchise. Phoebe Litchfield joined the squad for ₹1.20 crore, with Asha Sobhana. The squad is further strengthened by the presence of Pratika Rawal, Harleen Deol, Deandra Dottin, Chloe Tryon, Sophie Ecclestone and Kranti Goud, providing a blend of experience, versatility and depth.

UP Warriorz will open their WPL 2026 campaign against Gujarat Giants Women at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy on Saturday, January 10, with the match scheduled to begin at 3.30 PM IST.

The latest partnerships add to UP Warriorz’s growing portfolio of lifestyle and consumer-facing brands, which already includes Pronto, L’Oréal Professionnel and Joy Personal Care.

Collectively, the announcements reflect a deliberate and balanced strategy from UP Warriorz, combining athlete wellbeing, operational continuity and culturally rooted storytelling. As the franchise prepares for the new Women’s Premier League season, the strengthened commercial platform positions the team for competitive ambition on the field while building long-term brand equity within India’s rapidly evolving women’s sports landscape.
