JioStar has further strengthened the commercial profile of the TATA Women’s Premier League by onboarding 15 sponsors for the 2026 season, reinforcing the tournament’s emergence as a mainstream and high-impact marketing platform in Indian sport.
The expanded sponsorship portfolio spans multiple sectors, reflecting growing advertiser confidence in the league’s audience reach, engagement metrics, and long-term growth trajectory. The breadth of categories also underlines how the WPL has moved beyond traditional cricket advertising to attract brands seeking sustained consumer connection.
The sponsors for WPL 2026 include State Bank of India, BHIM, Kingfisher Premium Packaged Drinking Water, Kalyan Jewellers, TVS Eurogrip Tyres, VIDA, OpenAI (ChatGPT), OnePlus, Tata Capital, Policybazaar, Pidilite, Wipro, Reckitt Benckiser India, Mast Masala, and Crystal Cook N Serve.
The increase in sponsor participation compared to previous seasons highlights a clear shift in how brands are approaching women’s sport. Financial services, fintech, consumer technology, FMCG, automotive, and electric mobility brands feature prominently, pointing to the WPL’s ability to deliver value beyond conventional cricket sponsorship models.
Commenting on the development, Anup Govindan, Head – Sports Sales, JioStar, said, “WPL 2026 represents a clear inflexion point for women’s cricket, both in scale and commercial ambition. Brands are increasingly looking beyond short-term visibility to build deeper, long-term associations, and the WPL offers a powerful platform that delivers scale, high engagement, and a strong consumer connection. The diversity of categories coming on board reflects growing confidence in women’s cricket as a premium and impactful media property. We are excited to collaborate with brands that share our vision of building women’s cricket into a long-term, world-class sporting league.”
Industry trends suggest that advertisers are increasingly viewing the Women’s Premier League as a platform for long-term storytelling and audience engagement. With rising television ratings, strong digital consumption and a young, diverse fan base, the league has positioned itself as an attractive proposition for both mass-market and premium advertisers.
JioStar has been focused on maximising commercial value across its sports portfolio. The robust sponsorship response to the 2026 WPL season aligns with this strategy and further cements the league’s status as one of the fastest-growing properties in Indian sport.
Now entering its fourth season, the TATA Women’s Premier League continues to play a central role in the professionalisation and commercialisation of women’s cricket in India, with increased brand investment strengthening its long-term sustainability and visibility.
