The Indian renewable energy company, GREW Solar, has entered the Women’s Premier League (WPL) ecosystem after being announced as the lead arm partner of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Women for the 2026 season.

Under the agreement, GREW Solar will feature prominently on the playing jerseys of the RCB Women’s team, alongside integrated branding across broadcast, digital, and on-ground platforms throughout the tournament. The partnership delivers year-round visibility through LED perimeter advertising, in-stadium branding assets, and franchise-led digital activations during the WPL season.

The collaboration will also extend across Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s social media and digital channels, providing GREW Solar access to one of the most engaged and rapidly growing fan communities in Indian sport.

Commenting on the partnership, Vinay Thadani, CEO and Director, Grew Solar, said, “The rapid rise of women’s Cricket reflects a powerful shift in Indian sport. Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women, the 2024 champions, represent excellence, consistency, and ambition; values that strongly align with GREW Solar’s vision. This partnership allows us to engage deeply with fans and communities while contributing to the continued rise of women’s cricket as a powerful force in Indian sport.”

Rajesh Menon, Chief Operating Officer, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, added, “We are delighted to welcome GREW Solar as our Lead Arm Partner for the upcoming season. This partnership reflects the growing confidence of the Indian industry in the potential and impact of women’s sport, and we look forward to building a meaningful and successful association.”

The partnership highlights the growing convergence between sustainability-led brands and elite women’s sport in India. With the Women’s Premier League continuing to deliver strong television viewership, digital engagement, and sponsor interest, franchises have emerged as attractive platforms for brands seeking scale, credibility, and long-term brand building.

For RCB Women, the addition of GREW Solar further strengthens the team’s commercial lineup ahead of the 2026 season, reinforcing its focus on innovation and future-oriented partnerships while supporting wider conversations around clean energy and sustainability.

The deal also reflects a broader trend within the WPL ecosystem, as non-traditional sectors such as renewable energy, fintech, and electric mobility increasingly view women’s cricket as a high-growth marketing opportunity. The 2026 season is expected to see continued expansion in sponsorship activity as brands align with the league’s rising popularity and its strong association with progressive, purpose-driven narratives.
