bigbasket, a TATA Enterprise, has announced the continuation of its association with Royal Challengers Bengaluru as the franchise’s official quick commerce partner, with a renewed and expanded emphasis on the women’s team competing in the Women’s Premier League.

The partnership, which began with the men’s team in 2024, has evolved into a deeper, multi-season association. In 2025, bigbasket extended its support to RCB Women, marking a strategic shift that places women’s cricket at the centre of the collaboration.

Under the renewed agreement, bigbasket will continue to feature across RCB’s commercial ecosystem, with enhanced visibility, storytelling and fan engagement initiatives built primarily around the women’s team. The association will include branding across RCB Women’s matchday assets and digital platforms, alongside player-led content and season-long fan engagement programmes throughout the WPL.

The renewed focus positions RCB Women as a core pillar of the partnership rather than an extension of the men’s programme, reflecting the growing commercial relevance of women’s cricket in India and the WPL’s emergence as a credible, high-impact platform for mainstream brands.

Commenting on the continuation of the association, Hari Menon, Co-founder & CEO, bigbasket, said, “Our partnership with RCB has grown meaningfully over the last two years, and extending this journey with a strong focus on the RCB women’s team is something we are particularly proud of. The women’s league represents an exciting new chapter for Indian cricket—one that is bold, inspiring, and driven by exceptional talent. At bigbasket, we see a strong alignment between the fast-paced nature of today’s game and our own promise of speed and convenience. More importantly, this association reflects our commitment to supporting women’s sport and being part of platforms that are shaping the future of Indian athletics.”

Rajesh Menon, COO, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, added, “Women’s cricket in India continues to rise, and RCB is proud to contribute to this progress. Our enduring partnership with bigbasket, rooted in performance, consistency, and a fan-first ethos, remains a meaningful part of this journey as the sport grows stronger each season.”

For bigbasket, the alignment with women’s cricket closely mirrors its core consumer base, spanning urban households and digitally engaged audiences. The WPL’s growing viewership, strong engagement levels and positive brand environment offer an effective platform for long-term visibility and trust-led marketing.

The renewal also underlines RCB’s broader commercial strategy of building distinct value around its women’s franchise. Since the launch of the WPL, RCB Women have rapidly established a strong identity and loyal fan following, attracting sustained sponsor interest driven by both scale and cultural relevance.

On the field, RCB Women have reinforced that momentum with a flawless start to the season, winning all five of their matches and becoming the first team to qualify for the playoffs.

As women’s cricket in India continues to gain scale and stature, bigbasket’s continued association with RCB highlights a growing conviction among brands that the women’s game is now a central pillar of the sports marketing landscape, aligned with both performance on the pitch and everyday relevance beyond it.
