Soframycin, a brand manufactured by Encube Ethicals, is a topical antibiotic used to treat skin infections such as cuts, wounds, and burns. It is recognised for its active ingredient, framycetin sulphate, which aids in the prevention and treatment of infections by preventing bacterial growth. Soframycin is widely accessible as an over-the-counter medicine in numerous countries, often in the form of ointment or cream.
The partnership intends to combine the ideals of quality and empowerment, which are consistent with Mumbai Indians’ commitment to developing talent and supporting women’s cricket. With Soframycin’s support, MI are poised to solidify their place in the WPL 2025, forming a winning combination on and off the pitch.
Lately, the unit also onboarded Rexona, the Australian deodorant and antiperspirant brand owned by Unilever, as an associate partner for the upcoming season.
Following a great debut season in 2023, when they defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) in the final, the Paltans were unable to defend their championship in 2024, losing to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Eliminator. MI, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, will now once again look to get back to winning ways this season.
For the upcoming season, MI obtained some intriguing talent, notably young Indian all-rounder G Kamalini, demonstrating their commitment to developing emerging players. With a solid core of retained players and some interesting new signings, MI will be a competitive force in the upcoming WPL season. The Mumbai-based franchise will first take on Delhi Capitals on February 15 at 7:30 PM IST at Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara.
