The World Padel League (WPL) is ready to make its mark in India with an exciting display of the sport involving 32 of the finest international padel players across four teams.
With the assistance of the Indian Padel Federation (IPF), ‘The Greatest Show on Court!’ aims to be a game changer for padel in the nation. WPL will be held in the Nesco Centre in Mumbai from February 5-8, 2025, and will feature the dynamic, high-action format that has made padel one of the world’s fastest-growing sports. Spectators are in for a treat with unrivalled courtside activity over four days and seven matches.
Claudia Fernandez Sanchez (Women’s World No. 7), Sofia Araujo (Women’s World No. 8), Alejandra Salazar Bengoechea (Women’s World No. 15), Federico Chingotto (Men’s World No. 4), Jon Sanz (Men’s World No. 9), Carlos Daniel Gutierrez (Men’s World No. 19), and numerous others will be competing for the first time on Indian soil.
Padel is quickly rising in India, owing to increased participation and infrastructure in big towns. The collaboration between WPL and IPF is expected to significantly accelerate the sport’s development, motivating a diverse range of sports fans.
