Worcestershire County Cricket Club (WCCC), a first-class county club in England’s domestic cricket scene, has secured a multi-year partnership with Dafabet, a leading international online betting platform.
This deal sees Dafabet become the headline sponsor for WCCC’s live-streaming service, which has amassed nearly 14 million views globally over the past two years. The sponsorship has strengthened Dafabet’s growing portfolio of sports partnerships, which already includes teams in the Premier League (PL), Scottish Premiership, and other elite cricket competitions.
Speaking of securing Dafabet as the Club’s new Partner, Joe Tromans, Head of Commercial and Partnerships at Worcestershire Cricket, said, “We are hugely excited to be announcing our partnership with Dafabet and are delighted to welcome them as a new partner to the Worcestershire family. We have been very impressed with Dafabet’s commitment to safer gambling and their ambitions to be the world’s most innovative gaming platform, so to have them, as a leading global brand, on board as our Official Live Stream Partner, is a major boost to our objectives both on and off pitch.”
John Cruces, Head of Sponsorship at Dafabet, added, “We’re very happy to be partnering up with Worcestershire as we continue to add to our list of partners within the sport. Particularly, their livestream platform can only help us both add to our footprint worldwide. As with all our partners, we wish them the best of luck for the forthcoming season.”
This partnership marks a major step forward for WCCC’s digital strategy. The platform’s live streaming service has seen impressive growth, attracting a global audience. With Dafabet’s sponsorship, the platform’s visibility and reach will increase further, allowing WCCC to connect with a wider fanbase.
Founded in 2004, Dafabet is a well-established online gambling platform popular in Asia, particularly known for its cricket sponsorships. The platform offers a variety of deposit methods, bonuses, and betting options. The platform also serves as the official partner of the Yorkshire County Cricket Club (YCCC).
WCCC recently secured ground naming rights with Visit Worcestershire and partnered with DRPG, a leading communications agency, for its season preview and kit launch show.
Competing as Worcestershire Rapids in the Vitality T-20 blast, WCCC currently sits eighth in the North Division with two wins in seven matches. The club’s next fixture is against Warwickshire County Cricket Club on June 21, followed by a county championship match against Surrey County Cricket Club (SCCC) starting June 23.
