The Women’s Handball League (WHL), spearheaded by Pavna Sports Venture, has joined forces with Nivia Sports, a leading Indian sporting goods manufacturer, in a strategic partnership.
This multi-year deal has named Nivia the official sponsor, providing essential equipment like balls, kits, and other gear for the WHL.
This collaboration signifies a significant stride towards propelling women’s handball in India.
The partnership ensures a professional playing experience for WHL athletes. Nivia’s involvement goes beyond supplying equipment.

Beyond the sponsorship, the WHL and Nivia are launching the “Future Handball Champions Program.” This initiative aims to identify and cultivate talented young Indian handball players. Through nationwide talent hunts, aspiring athletes will have a platform to showcase their skills and potentially compete in the upcoming WHL season.
Nivia Sports, founded in 1934, boasts a rich legacy. Headquartered in Jalandhar, Punjab, the entity designs and manufactures a wide range of sporting equipment, apparel, and footwear. Its presence is prominent at major sporting events, having supplied official balls for leagues like the Indian Super League (ISL) and FIBA-certified basketballs.
