The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the global broadcast and digital distribution details for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the tournament across every major cricket market.
Jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka from 30 September to 2 November, the 12th edition of the Women’s World Cup will feature eight teams contesting 31 matches in a round-robin and knockout format. With the profile of women’s cricket at an unprecedented high, the ICC has confirmed an extensive network of rights holders spanning television, digital platforms, and direct-to-consumer services.
In the Indian subcontinent, the largest market for the sport, Star Sports Network will carry live television coverage, complemented by streaming on JioHotstar via the newly created JioStar distribution partnership.
In Sri Lanka, coverage will also be available on Maharaja TV (TV1). Australia will see all matches streamed live and free on Amazon Prime Video, marking the first time a global women’s ICC event has been carried exclusively by the platform.
In the Caribbean, ESPN and ESPN2 will broadcast the tournament, supported by digital streaming on ESPN via Disney+.
In North America, Willow TV will provide live television coverage alongside digital streaming, while fans in the United Kingdom and Ireland can follow the action on Sky Sports Cricket and Sky Sports Main Event, with digital access through Sky Go and NOW TV.
Across Sub-Saharan Africa, matches will air on SuperSport, while in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, coverage will be available via CricLife Max on linear television and StarzPlay on digital.
For territories without a designated broadcaster, the ICC will make all fixtures available on its direct-to-consumer platform, ICC.tv, ensuring global reach.
In addition to video coverage, the ICC will provide global radio commentary through ICC.tv, expanding accessibility for audiences worldwide.
The announcement underlines the ICC’s commitment to growing the visibility of women’s cricket. By combining established sports broadcasters with digital-first partners, the governing body has created one of the most extensive distribution networks ever secured for a women’s sporting event.
The Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 is expected to attract record global audiences, with the final scheduled for early November.
