The Premier League (PL) club, Wolverhampton Wanderers FC (Wolves) have developed a partnership with LAKE (LAK3), an innovative Web3 ecosystem facilitating fair and decentralized access to water worldwide.
As part of the deal, the brand has been named the team’s official cryptocurrency partner for the 2024–25 season.
LAKE is a blockchain-based firm working to alter the global water economy, and this collaboration will help LAKE build awareness about its objective to democratise access to the water market using blockchain technology.
The firm’s cooperation will emphasise the chance to participate in a new water economy, coinciding with its objective to increase access to water while highlighting sustainability and social responsibility. The project also highlights how new collaborations could tackle global difficulties such as water shortages by showcasing the actual use of blockchain technology to solve real-world problems.
The newly formed partnership also coincides with Wolves’ strong involvement in the community and worldwide footprint with LAKE’s ambitions, increasing exposure and involvement in international markets for both entities. LAKE and Wolves are committed to making a good difference. Just as Wolves’ ‘One Pack, One Planet’ effort centres around environmental stewardship, LAKE’s ‘Donate’ component emphasises their commitment to social responsibility.
In the upcoming months, LAKE and Wolves will collaborate on a variety of community involvement projects and campaigns, demonstrating their dedication to making an effective difference. LAKE just unveiled its ‘Water Shop’ platform, which is due to launch in late 2024, with other efforts such as developing collaborations with water sources throughout the world planned for later this year.
Russel Jones, Wolves’ General Manager for Marketing and Commercial Growth, said, “We’re thrilled to welcome LAKE to our growing family of commercial partners. From the first meeting with the LAKE team, we’ve been impressed with their passion and enthusiasm for the project and we’re looking forward to kicking off a new Premier League season together.”
Jean-Hugues Gavarini, CEO and Co-founder of LAKE, said, “This partnership with Wolves is a significant step towards achieving our mission of unlocking access to clean water and to the water economy. We are excited about the opportunities this collaboration brings and look forward to working together to create a better future as part of the pack. With a leading Premier League team joining our mission to address water scarcity, we are setting an incredible precedent by displaying how the convergence of sport and blockchain can positively impact global initiatives off the field.”
Most recently, the Old Gold also announced Neo as an official foreign currency exchange partner.
