Wolves sign partnership deal with AstroPay

AstroPay will get to hold pitch-side LED advertising at the team’s Molineux stadium and will commence with ‘a suite of partnership rights’.

Wolverhampton Wanderers FC has added the online payment solutions provider AstroPay into its sponsorship portfolio.

AstroPay will get to hold pitch-side LED advertising at the team’s Molineux stadium, according to the agreement, and will commence with ‘a suite of partnership rights’.

While speaking on the agreement, Rusell Jones, General Manager for Marketing and Commercial Growth at Wolverhampton Wanderers, said, “We are excited to work alongside AstroPay as we welcome them into our pack ahead of what promises to be a really exciting new Premier League season.”

Mikael Lijtenstein, CEO of AstroPay, remarked said, “Like many UK and international football fans, we are excited to start the new season of the world’s most-watched football league.”

He further added, “The English Premier League has always been very competitive, popular, and global, which sees brands using the event as the perfect vehicle for driving brand awareness, interest, and revenue.

“We are thrilled to begin our new partnership with Wolves. They’re an ambitious club with an exciting development and it matches the global spirit of AstroPay.”

Wolves have found yet another sponsor to add to its portfolio this season as they also recently announced a renewal of its partnership with Irish sports betting operator BoyleSports, whilst also adding Bitci.com as sleeve sponsor earlier this year.

AstroPay has over two million users with offices in the UK and Latin America, 500 merchants, and more than 200 payment methods available globally. This agreement will enhance the company’s presence in the English top-flight as it looks to expand its operations.

The new agreement with Wolves comes in just after announcing its renewal of the sponsorship arrangement with Burnley FC. The firm will be operating as the official payments’ solutions provider and sleeve sponsor of the club for the upcoming season of Premier League.
