The Premier League (PL) club, Wolverhampton Wanderers FC (Wolves) have secured a new multi-year partnership with JD Sports, a leading global sportswear retailer.
This collaboration has named JD Sports the club’s official sleeve sponsor for the upcoming 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons.
JD logo will be prominently displayed on the sleeves of all Wolves teams’ playing kits. This includes the men’s and women’s first teams, the Under-21 squad, and the entire academy setup.
Russell Jones, Wolves’ General Manager for Marketing and Commercial Growth, said, “We are thrilled to welcome JD to our growing family of partners, and we look forward to bringing this partnership to life over the next two seasons.
“It’s clear that JD and Wolves share many values, and their interest in music and entertainment as well as football, meant that this partnership was a perfect fit.
“The partnership launch video, created in collaboration with JD, perfectly demonstrates both parties’ ambitions to stand out from the crowd and do things differently. We hope that this is just the start of things to come from this exciting partnership.”
Speaking on the partnership, Michael Armstrong, Global Managing Director at JD, said, “JD are delighted to welcome Wolves to our growing roster of top tier football sponsorships.
“This collaboration with Wolves marks a new chapter in our commitment to celebrating sports culture and amplifying the spirit of teamwork.
“We are thrilled to stand alongside Wolves and champion the values of passion, integrity, and excellence that define both our brands.”
A unique launch video has been created to celebrate this partnership through a collaboration between JD Sports and Wolves. The video features music from Reepa, a Wolves Records artist and Wolves Foundation ambassador, alongside Birmingham-born artist/producer, Mutual.
This announcement comes from another successful partnership extension for the Wanderers, having recently extended their retail operations agreement with Levy UK + Ireland.
JD Sports, a name synonymous with sportswear and sneakers, boasts a rich history originating in Northern England. Established in 1981 with a single store, the British sports-fashion retail company has transformed into a global giant. Today, JD Sports boasts over 1,200 stores across 24 countries, reaching customers in Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific through a network of physical stores and dedicated regional websites.
This expansion further demonstrates JD’s dominance in the global sportswear market. JD recently announced a similar multi-year partnership with another PL club, Newcastle United FC (NUFC).
