Willow acquires rights to ICC cricket in USA and Canada through 2027

Willow TV and Digital have acquired the ICC broadcast and digital rights for all the ICC men’s and women’s major tournaments in the USA and Canada.

The apex cricket governing body of the world, International Cricket Council (ICC) has signed a four-year association with Times Internet Limited. The American sports channel, Willow TV which comes under the banner of the Times Internet Limited will be the new home of ICC Cricket in the USA and Canada until the conclusion of 2027.

With this esteemed partnership, Willow TV and Digital have acquired the ICC broadcast and digital rights for all the ICC men’s and women’s major tournaments in these two North American countries from the next year. The deal between ICC and Willow TV will still be in continuation that has been placed since 2016, providing extensive coverage to make cricket a more popular sport in the US and Canada belt.

Fans can also get access to the ICC Cricket on a digital basis on Willow.tv which will be available on various devices provided with live HD quality streaming, interactive video scoreboards, and statistics. On the other side, TOI.com and Cricbuzz will provide important updates from ICC events which will also include digital clips.

The first live TV partnership between the two bodies will provide the coverage of 14 international events across men’s, women’s, and U19 Cricket World Cup and T20 World Cup tournaments. The TV coverage will be available for all senior major men’s and women’s ICC competitions, starting from ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA and the West Indies. The U19 World Cups of both men and women will be shown digitally on willow.tv, along with the semi-finals and finals on Willow TV. 

Willow TV is a premier broadcasting entity from the United States that aims to bring extensive coverage of worldwide cricket events. The American TV channel has been a premier broadcaster of cricket in the region for almost 20 years and has provided all the cricket content and entertainment to the estimated 20 million fans in both countries, as well as in the North American circuit.
