West Bromwich and Other Media have signed a partnership extension, the latter will continue to provide its Clubcast platform to the club. The Baggies first signed a deal with Other Media ahead of the 2020/21 season, which saw the company develop a mobile app and platform, where the fans of the club would stay connected with the club news and some fun games.
Both the entities have seen great success following this partnership as the project has so far provided a massive return on investment for the club’s monthly expenditure, mainly on their digital products, as many new sponsors have been coming on board and there has been an upliftment through retail sales.
Speaking on the occasion of the renewal of the deal, Simon King, Chief Commercial Officer at West Bromwich Albion, said: “It was an easy decision to choose to continue to work with Other Media. Normally we would go out and look into other options before considering a renewal especially as tech is such a fast-moving environment.
“However we felt that because we’ve already achieved so much and to such a high standard, and are not even halfway through where this journey could lead us, we were confident in our decision.
“Other Media have delivered an amazing looking website that is so interactive and full of rich content, as well as the highly engaging apps delivering key information to over 35k users in an easily consumed way.
“The quality of the platforms is exceptional. Then there’s the relationship, the day-to-day management of the projects, and we have built up a lot of trust through the agency’s ability to account manage to a very high standard. This was a big part of the decision.
“Working with a team that has a roadmap to continue growing in sport means we have full confidence in going on that journey with them and we’re more than delighted to continue working with the team.”
Other Media has developed a mobile app and website for the West Bromwich fans which engages the audiences with premium video content. Other than that, it also provides scores, fixtures, teams, and news updates daily. They can also follow live scores, while it also has the option to keep an update on the rival clubs. Apart from these features, it also provides the option to buy something from the official club shop.
The Baggies are currently playing in the Championship, they are sitting third in the league table, securing 32 points from their last 17 games. While their next opponent is Huddersfield, and the fixture is scheduled for 20th November.
