Warner Bros Discovery bags broadcast rights to 2023 World Athletics Championships

With Paris 2024 rapidly approaching, Warner Bros Discovery is expanding its athletics coverage in Europe.

The media company, Warner Bros Discovery has bagged the non-exclusive broadcast rights to the 2023 World Athletics Championships in 45 European countries.

Following an arrangement with rights holders, Eurovision Sport and ESPN, the Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 channels, along with the Eurosport app and Discovery+ streaming platform, will telecast next year’s nine-day event. The event, which is set to be held from August 19 to 27, 2023, will be held in Budapest.

With the Paris 2024 rapidly approaching, Warner Bros Discovery is expanding its athletics coverage in Europe. The company recently launched its Mon Paris Olympique programme last month, which is broadcasting on Eurosport in France in the run-up to the Games.
