Visa has been confirmed as the official payment partner for the 2025 Davis Cup Final 8, adding heavyweight commercial backing as the event returns to Bologna from November 18 to 23 later this year.
The deal, unveiled by the International Tennis Federation, brings Visa’s digital payment technology and fan-facing services into the core of the tournament’s matchday and venue experience.
Under the partnership, Visa will power fast and secure on-site payments across the Unipol Arena while delivering curated fan activations, digital content integrations, and on-ground engagement zones aimed at improving the spectator experience. The move positions Visa as a central consumer touchpoint throughout the Final 8.
ITF President David Haggerty said, “We are proud to welcome Visa, the well-recognised financial global leader, as the official payment partner of the 2025 Davis Cup Final 8. The competition has a long history of partnering with prestigious brands, and we are delighted to welcome Visa to the Davis Cup family. We look forward to working with Visa at the Final 8 in Bologna, which will provide an exciting climax to the men’s tennis season.”
Stefano M. Stoppani, Country Manager for Visa Italia, added, “At Visa, we’re committed to being there in the moments that matter, offering simple, secure, and fast payment experiences that connect fans to their passions. In a sport where the speed of a serve can define the outcome of a match, we are proud to deliver that same level of speed and precision in every transaction. Our partnership with the Davis Cup Final 8 in Bologna brings this to life, allowing us to support one of the most iconic sporting events and celebrate top-level tennis alongside the fans.”
The announcement arrives at a moment of broader commercial evolution for the sport’s global governing body. From January 2026, the ITF will officially transition to the name World Tennis, part of a strategy to sharpen its global identity and strengthen its major-event portfolio. The Visa partnership follows the extension of the ITF’s data rights agreement with Infront and MG Motor’s confirmation as the official automotive partner for the 2025 Finals.
Bologna’s role as host adds further commercial and sporting weight. Italy has lifted the Davis Cup trophy in both 2023 and 2024, ensuring strong domestic momentum heading into the 2025 edition. The Final 8 will also carry heightened fan interest given the form of Italy’s leading players and the competitive landscape expected next season.
Visa’s presence builds on its expanding sports footprint. The company already partners with FIFA, Inter Miami CF, EuroLeague Basketball, AFC, Oracle Red Bull Racing, Newcastle United, while global stars such as Neeraj Chopra, Mohamed Salah, Lamine Yamal currently serve as Visa ambassadors.
For the Davis Cup, the addition of Visa strengthens an already robust sponsorship roster that includes Stake, Lexus, and UniCredit. With a global payment leader now embedded across the event’s consumer and commercial layers, the 2025 Davis Cup Final 8 enters its next chapter with stronger infrastructure, deeper brand integration, and rising international visibility.
