Viacom18 Sports teams up with Snapchat for Qatar 2022

For the first time, users in India will have a variety of AR lenses to participate in the football carnival.

India’s newest premier sports network, Viacom18 Sports has announced a new partnership with Snapchat Inc. for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

On Snapchat’s Discover platform, the deal will provide users with a distinctive voice-activated AR (augmented reality) lens and riveting content centred on the World’s Greatest Sporting Event. Discover, Snapchat’s fourth tab, is a location for Indian Snapchatters looking for news, entertainment, and expert editorial content. It will organise top-quality sports content and championship game highlights, which will also be obtainable on Sports18 – 1 and JioCinema.

For the first time, users in India will have a variety of AR lenses to participate in the football carnival, which began on November 20. There is something for every Snapchatter, from a voice-triggered fan lens that allows Snapchatters to embrace any of the 32 teams by merely stating the name of the nation into the lens to fun gamification quiz lenses that enable even non-football fans to participate by evaluating their awareness of fun football-related lifestyle trivia.

Snap Stars (certified creators) will offer their own different viewpoints on the games all across the championship, inspiring Snapchatters to involve themselves in World Cup action by communicating their Snaps with the world.
