The former Head, SMB Growth Strategy & Inside Sales at Disney+Hotstar, Mallika Petkar has joined Viacom18 Media as Senior Vice President – Strategy, Sports.
Petkar has been in the industry for almost two decades. She commenced her career as a software engineer at Patni Computer Systems where she worked for three years. Later, she made her move to Ernst & Young as a senior consultant – business advisory services. She worked there for three years and 11 months. Petkar then joined Star India, where she was for five years and four months.
Petkar worked in business development – M&A at Star India, she later went on to lead the channel’s product and revenue strategy.
After joining Hotstar as Vice President, she worked on the customer strategy and integrated network sales at Star TV network.
Petkar said in a LinkedIn post, “After a decade at Star India/Hotstar, I have moved on to the next adventure. It’s been an incredible ride, through which I’ve been fortunate to have some of the smartest mentors and colleagues ever assembled under one roof and many dear friends.”
