The Bundesliga club, VfB Stuttgart have announced a sponsorship agreement with a full-service and commercial bank and central bank, LBBW (Landesbank Baden-Württemberg).
With this deal, the brand has become the unit’s first team’s main sponsor from the 2025–26 season.
LBBW has been featured on the jerseys of the VfB Stuttgart youth teams from the beginning of August. This time around, it has been revealed that the professional squad will be sporting the same emblem on the pitch beginning with the 2025-26 season. Moreover, LBBW and VfB already announced a few weeks ago that the bank will serve as the club’s main youth sponsor for both the third team and all academy sides.
The sponsorship deal with the Bundesliga team is one of the most significant ones in the bank’s history, as it represents the bank’s objective of expansion and relevance as the top medium-sized universal bank. These objectives are tied to its partnership with VfB, which aims to boost both national and worldwide brand recognition.
Alexander Wehrle, CEO of VfB Stuttgart, said, “LBBW and VfB share a long and successful history of cooperation. We are therefore all the more pleased that, following their return to our partner family at the start of the season, we are now able to announce the next milestone together and that LBBW will be comprehensively committed to VfB Stuttgart as the main and shirt sponsor from summer 2025.”
LBBW CEO Rainer Neske, said, “We are proud to be the main sponsor and strong partner of VfB Stuttgart going forward, and also to be present on the Bundesliga team’s chest from next season. LBBW has always assumed social responsibility, whether here in our home region or in our nationwide and international activities. This is deeply rooted in our identity. After all, banks have always connected the economy, regions and people – and that is also what our new partnership is all about.”
Back in August, the unit also onboarded Winamax as the main sponsor of the club until 2026.
