VETO has strengthened its position in India’s live sports streaming market by adding the Billie Jean King Cup 2026 to its sports portfolio, expanding its international tennis offering shortly after securing exclusive Indian OTT streaming rights to the Davis Cup 2026.

The latest acquisition reinforces VETO’s strategy of making live sport a key pillar of its subscription-free OTT proposition. The platform’s Davis Cup agreement covers India’s second-round Qualifier against South Korea, scheduled for September 18–20, with the tournament available to Indian viewers through VETO’s digital platform.

The addition of the Billie Jean King Cup gives VETO rights to another of international tennis’ leading team competitions and complements its recently announced Davis Cup offering. The move also strengthens the platform’s positioning around national-team sport, providing audiences with access to both men’s and women’s international tennis.

Ritu Dhawan, Managing Director, VETO, said, “VETO has been focused on building a differentiated subscription-free content destination for Indian audiences. In less than a year, we have expanded to 60+ live channels, entered the web series space, and grown our presence across 12 languages and 10+ genres. The acquisition of both the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup reflects our long-term commitment to building live sports as a key pillar of VETO.”

The 2026 Billie Jean King Cup is part of an expanding global competition structure involving national teams from across the International Tennis Federation’s ecosystem. The Finals are scheduled to take place in Shenzhen, China, from September 22–27, with eight nations competing for the title.

For VETO, the move comes as India’s streaming market becomes increasingly competitive, with platforms seeking distinctive live content capable of generating regular engagement and audience growth. Subscription-free access also provides VETO with an opportunity to use premium sports properties as an audience-acquisition tool while broadening its overall content proposition.

The company has expanded its platform to more than 60 live TV channels, alongside on-demand web series, with content spanning 12 languages and more than 10 genres. Adding the Billie Jean King Cup and Davis Cup represents a further step towards establishing live sport as a meaningful component of that broader strategy.

With both major international team tennis competitions now part of its portfolio, VETO is increasingly positioning itself as a destination for accessible live sports content in India.
