The Italian charcuterie brand, Veroni, has strengthened its presence in global tennis through a new sponsorship of the “Sunshine Double,” the prestigious back-to-back tournaments comprising the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells and the Miami Open.
The partnership places the Italian food brand at the centre of one of the most prominent stretches of the professional tennis calendar. Held each March in California and Florida, the Sunshine Double features two of the sport’s most significant events outside the Grand Slams, with both tournaments classified as ATP Masters 1000 and WTA 1000 competitions and attracting the majority of the world’s top players and hundreds of thousands of spectators.
As part of the activation, Veroni will introduce dedicated hospitality spaces and fan experiences at both tournaments. Spectators will be able to visit Veroni lounges and tasting stations offering the brand’s range of Italian charcuterie products, as well as grab-and-go concessions integrated within the venue’s food and beverage programme. The initiative aims to bring elements of Italy’s traditional aperitivo culture to the tournament grounds, blending premium food experiences with live sport.
Emanuela Bigi, Marketing Manager at Veroni, said, “Being present at both stops of the Sunshine Double this year is a major milestone and a testament to our growing connection with international tennis. Following our debut at the Miami Open in 2022 and a strong presence at Indian Wells since 2023, returning to Miami allows us to tell a consistent story that combines sport and culinary culture. Our goal is to bring a true taste of Italy to fans in a premium, engaging experience.”
Founded in Emilia-Romagna in 1925, Veroni has been expanding its footprint in the United States and increasingly leveraging sports partnerships to reach international audiences. Tennis, with its affluent spectator base and global broadcast reach, provides a strategic platform for the brand’s North American growth.
Following Indian Wells and Miami, Veroni will continue its tennis activations at two further major events this season: the Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome from April 28 to May 17 and the Cincinnati Open from August 11 to 23, further reinforcing its presence across the sport’s global tournament calendar.
