BWT Alpine Formula One Team has strengthened its commercial portfolio by announcing a new multi-year strategic partnership with Valvoline Global, with the lubricant brand joining the Formula 1 team as a global team partner from the Italian Grand Prix at Monza.

Under the agreement, Valvoline branding will feature prominently on the Alpine A526 cars driven by Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto, as well as across the wider team environment, beginning with the September 4-6 race weekend. The partnership brings together two brands with deep motorsport heritage and a shared positioning around performance, engineering and innovation.

Michael Kirtman, Chief Brand Officer, Valvoline Global Operations, said, “Motorsports has been part of Valvoline’s DNA for more than a century, and Formula One represents one of the world’s most influential stages for innovation and competition. Our partnership with BWT Alpine Formula One Team reflects our continued investment in the sport and our commitment to connecting with fans and customers through world-class racing. We look forward to building a strong relationship with the team while continuing to expand Valvoline’s presence across the highest levels of global motorsport.”

Guy Martin, Global Marketing Director, BWT Alpine Formula One Team, added, “We are delighted to welcome Valvoline as a new Global Team Partner. We share a deep passion for innovation, engineering excellence, and competition. Alpine Formula One Team’s performance-driven environment provides the perfect platform to push the boundaries of technology. We look forward to working closely with Valvoline and building a long and successful partnership.”

The partnership arrives during a transitional 2026 campaign for Alpine. Following 12 Grands Prix, the team sits sixth in the constructors’ championship with 63 points. Gasly has scored 44 points and stands 10th in the drivers’ standings, while Colapinto has 19 points and is 12th.

Monza represents Round 13 of the 2026 Formula 1 season. Friday practice offered encouraging signs, with Colapinto finishing 11th in FP2 and Gasly 14th as Alpine assessed its latest upgrades and targeted a potential Q3 challenge.

For Valvoline, the Alpine agreement complements its existing Formula 1 involvement with Aston Martin Aramco, where it has a technical partnership focused on lubricant development.
