The LaLiga team, Valencia CF have signed a new sponsorship deal with an online automotive retailer, Cazoo. In this agreement, Cazoo has been named as the team’s new main partner.
Cazoo will be granted front-of-shirt sponsorship rights by the LaLiga club under the multi-year contract, which will begin with the start of the 2022-23 season.
This will include both Valencia’s men’s and women’s teams, as well as the UK-based company’s branding at the club’s Mestalla stadium and across its digital platforms.
Cazoo currently sponsors clubs in the Premier League such as Everton and Aston Villa. This new deal will be part of an extensive marketing campaign by Cazoo when it launches in Spain in the first half of 2022 as it continues to roll out across Europe, following its recent launches in both France and Germany, as well as its acquisition of the Barcelona-based Swipcar.
Cazoo owns and reconditions its cars to the highest standards before offering them for delivery in a matter of days, and it always has thousands of cars available. Cazoo has been dubbed the “Amazon of the used car market” because customers can buy a car entirely online and have it delivered directly to their door.
Cazoo was founded in 2018 by the renowned British entrepreneur, Alex Chesterman and has already sold over 50,000 cars in the UK since its inception, as consumers have embraced the selection, value, transparency, and convenience of buying used cars completely online. Cazoo has grown to over 4,000 employees across the UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Portugal, making it one of Europe’s fastest-growing companies.
Alex Chesterman, Founder & CEO of Cazoo, said, “We are very excited to be partnering with Valencia CF. We have been in talks with the club for a few months, and we’re pleased to be able to announce the partnership with such a historic club. They have a very passionate supporter base and following across Spain and have had great success in Europe and we are looking forward to engaging with the fans and local community to deliver the best car buying experience in Spain in 2022.”
Anil Murthy, President of Valencia CF, commented, “We are looking forward to partnering with Cazoo next season. Valencia CF will bring Cazoo to a large audience in Spain and beyond. This agreement positions Valencia CF even more as an international club that is attractive for big brands. We look forward to this exciting journey together.”
