This marks the third consecutive year of collaboration between the two entities.

Usha International, a prominent Indian consumer durables company, has reaffirmed its commitment to women’s sports by extending its partnership with Mumbai Indians (MI) Women’s team for the 2025 Women’s Premier League (WPL). This marks the third consecutive year of collaboration between the two entities.

Komal Mehra, Head of Sports Associations & Initiatives, expressed enthusiasm about the continued partnership and said, “With each season, the league has garnered increasing attention and support, captivating fans from all walks of life. The league’s success is paving the way for greater recognition of women’s sports in India, inspiring a new generation and reshaping the landscape of women’s cricket. Usha has been a long-standing partner with the MI family, and we are particularly delighted to have witnessed the rapid growth and increasing competitiveness of women’s cricket through this league. As a brand, we are happy to be associated with this positive change.”

A Mumbai Indians spokesperson echoed this sentiment and said, “We are excited to continue our long association with Usha International and we look forward to a successful journey as we power ahead towards our common vision of growing women’s cricket.”

Usha International, a market leader in fans, sewing machines, home appliances, and power products, has a widespread presence across India. With over 3,700 employees, 16 regional offices, 60 company showrooms, and 33 warehouses, the company is deeply invested in supporting various inclusive sporting initiatives. Beyond its association with MI Women, Usha champions various sports, including ultimate flying disc, football, cricket for the deaf, and sports for the visually challenged. The company also plays a vital role in reviving traditional Indian sports like Kalaripayattu and Mallakhamb, while promoting regional favourites such as Thang-Ta and Kabaddi.

MI Women have consistently been a force in the WPL, clinching the inaugural title in 2023 and reaching the semi-finals in 2024. They successfully acquired some promising talent, including young Indian all-rounder G Kamalini, showing their commitment to nurturing emerging players. With a strong core of retained players and some exciting new additions, MI will be a formidable force in the upcoming WPL season. They face their first match against Delhi Capitals on February 15 at Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara at 7:30 PM IST.
