The Women’s Premier League (WPL) team, UP Warriorz (UPW) have announced a new association with the multinational conglomerate company, Patanjali.
In this development, UP Warriorz have named the Haridwar-based brand as the principal sponsor. As per the clause, the branding of Patanjali will be featured on the team’s front of the shirt.
The franchise announced this new development through its official Instagram account, with the caption, “Patanjali’s natural touch, now every game will be desi! 🏏
Welcome onboard, @patanjaliproducts 🤝”
The rights for UP Warriorz were acquired by Capri Global Holdings Pvt. Ltd earlier this year in January in the team auction, which was conducted behind closed doors. The team management announced the Australian batter, Alyssa Healy as its skipper. The star-studded line-up of UP Warriorz also consists of players like Deepti Sharma, Sophie Ecclestone, Tahlia McGrath and many more.
Prior to the inclusion of Patanjali in their sponsorship portfolio, UP Warriorz also signed collaborations with Tata Capital and EaseMyTrip.
The Haridwar-based company, Patanjali was founded by Baba Ramdev and Balkrishna in 2006 with an office in Delhi.
The Healy-lead team will commence its WPL journey on March 5 against Gujarat Giants (GG).
