The Tokyo-based fashion and clothing company, UNIQLO has appointed Emma Raducanu, a British tennis player, as its new global brand ambassador.
Beginning with the Indian Wells Open in March, Britain’s top-ranked female tennis player will represent the company at all tennis tournaments.
The 2021 US Open champion will collaborate with other UNIQLO global brand ambassadors, such as legends Roger Federer and Shingo Kunieda, as well as Cate Blanchett, to promote UNIQLO’s LifeWear philosophy, which emphasises the pursuit of excellence, positive societal contributions, and support for the next generation. She will also actively focus on the design and functionality of her on-court clothing.
On the announcement, Raducanu said, “I am very pleased to join UNIQLO and to work closely with its amazing team of Global Brand Ambassadors. UNIQLO and I share many values and perspectives on life, culture, and society. I am excited to promote LifeWear through my tennis career, and to working with everybody at UNIQLO to inspire and engage young people everywhere.”

As UNIQLO global brand ambassador, Raducanu’s major responsibility will be to represent UNIQLO and advertise LifeWear globally through her tennis career. She will actively design her on-court apparel and participate in community-engagement activities around the world, such as UNIQLO Next Generation Development Program coaching events for skilled young tennis players or young players from underserved areas, as well as UNIQLO Peace for All and The Heart of LifeWear initiatives to help communities in need.
