The UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) signed a deal with cryptocurrency platform Crypto.com and sees them become the MMA organisation’s first-ever worldwide fight kit partner.
The deal is said to be worth over $175 million and will last for over ten years, the deal will see Crypto.com branding on all UFC kits, from fighting shorts to hoodies. The multimillion-dollar deal will also be UFC’s first-ever official cryptocurrency platform partner.
Cryptocurrency platforms have been rapidly expanding their outreach by sponsoring many different organisations with Portland Trail Blazers signing a deal with StormX and announcing their sponsorship with Formula One in the past week, Cryptocurrency platforms have been fairly active in sponsoring various organisations in the sports industry and the deal with UFC is further proof of that.
Along with the deal Crypto.com will also have branded throughout the octagon and the stadium during all UFC pay-per-view events and with the fight of Connor McGregor and Dustin Poirier, Crypto.com will have a huge influence on the fight’s branding and advertisements.
Furthermore, Crypto.com will also be releasing brand induced merchandise available to buy from the 10th of July, Crypto.com have been signing many deals in the past few weeks with the deal with UFC being their third multi-million dollar deal in 2 weeks.
UFC also stated that this deal sees Crypto.com get visibility access to over 625 million viewers for brand induction over 150 million social media followers, the deal will benefit crypto.com dramatically and will also be good for other cryptocurrency platforms to enter the sporting industry.
