TVR inks sponsorship deal with Formula E

This new agreement calls for TVR to participate in the forthcoming Monaco E-Prix on April 30.

A British sports car manufacturer, TVR has signed a sponsorship deal with the electric racing series, Formula E.

This new agreement calls for TVR to participate in the forthcoming Monaco E-Prix on April 30 and the London E-Prix doubleheader on July 30 and 31. This on-site appearance at the events is part of TVR’s promotion of the company’s decision to electrify its image.

TVR is a high-end sports car manufacturer based in the United Kingdom. The company produces lightweight sports cars with powerful engines and was once the world’s third-largest specialised sports car manufacturer, offering a diverse range of coupés and convertibles.

TVR’s Chairman Les Edgar, said, “Our collaboration with the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship and on-site activations at the Monaco and London E-Prix not only demonstrate our commitment to revolutionizing the TVR brand, but to EV, and becoming a sustainable, net-zero business. Our plans to bring TVR EVs to market are well underway, with the first of two models to be released shortly after the release of the newest Griffith and Limited-Edition Griffith EV models in 2024.”

The announcement comes on the heels of TVR’s recent funding and clean technology collaboration with the leading lithium innovator, Ensorcia.
