Triple Tap Games obtaines $1.2 million pre-seed funding led by Eximius Ventures and Kalaari Capital

This investment will support Triple Tap's objective to develop a portfolio of cutting-edge mobile games in the "relax and unwind" genre.

Triple Tap Games, a Mumbai-based game studio, obtained $1.2 million in an investment round led by Eximius Ventures and Kalaari Capital, as well as notable angel investors from the entertainment and gaming communities.

This investment will support Triple Tap’s objective to develop a portfolio of cutting-edge mobile games in the “relax and unwind” genre that are ideal for a global player base. The money raised will be used by the business to effectively launch and expand games in the US and Europe.

Karan Khairajani (CEO), a serial entrepreneur with a track record of establishing and growing hypercasual games, established Triple Tap Games in 2024. As a co-founder of Firescore Interactive, Karan oversaw the creation of some of the most well-known hypercasual games in India, including Hair Dye, Acrylic Nails, and Soap Cutting, which have had over 400 million downloads and brought in millions of dollars.

Seeing a definite trend emerging in the hybrid casual gaming industry, as well as a dearth of innovation in certain under-represented genres, Karan ventured out after exiting Firescore Interactive, to one of the top publishers in Israel, Crazy Labs.  The team adds exceptional cohesion and competence to Triple Tap’s ambitious vision.

“We are excited to announce this fundraise, which will fuel our vision to build in the category of ‘relax and unwind’ games. Our team (Siddhesh Dhopatkar, Ravish Dhanawde, Hari Saurabh Singh, Makhmoor Syed, Harshad Joshi, Peter Pawan and Sankalp Jajodia), with over a decade of experience in the gaming space, is uniquely positioned to understand what players want. By leveraging AI, we’re building an extensive content pipeline to deliver truly engaging experiences. We’re grateful for the support of our distinguished VC funds and angel investors,” highlighted Karan Khairajani, Founder, Triple Tap Games.

Pearl, Founder and Managing Partner at Eximius Ventures, commented, “Triple Tap combines a world-class team with a clear vision to unlock the untapped potential of hybrid-casual gaming. Karan’s track record of building and exiting a globally recognized studio, coupled with his focus on a women-centric audience and leveraging AI to accelerate production and deliver fresh, high-quality content, makes this an exciting opportunity.”

Harshit Kumar, AVP at Kalaari Capital, said, “Karan is one of the rare founders who brings deep passion and unique insights into the gaming market. His experience of building global games has equipped him to push boundaries and craft engaging experiences for players worldwide. We’re thrilled to partner with Triple Tap as they bring world-class hybrid-casual games to life — building from India, for the world.”

With this financial backing, Triple Tap Games is laying the groundwork for long-term success. The organisation is investing to strengthen its internal skills in rapid prototyping, data analytics, distribution, and monetisation. The funding will be crucial for acquiring top industry professionals and launching their debut game.
